T&Cs

1. The presentation of the goods in the internet shop does not represent a binding offer by the provider to conclude a purchase contract. The customer is only asked to submit an offer by placing an order.

2. By submitting the order in the internet shop, the customer submits a binding offer for the goods in the shopping cart. By submitting the order, the customer also recognizes these terms and conditions as binding for the legal relationship with the provider.

3. The provider confirms receipt of the customer's order by sending a confirmation email. This order confirmation does not yet represent an acceptance of the contract offer by the provider. It only serves to inform the customer that the order has been received by the provider. The declaration of acceptance of the contract offer is made through the delivery of the goods or an express declaration of acceptance.

4. The delivered goods remain the property of the provider until they have been paid for in full. The payment of the purchase price is due upon conclusion of the contract.

5. A clutch slave cylinder is part of a sophisticated hydraulic system. It must be installed by a professional, certified motorcycle mechanic. If you have installed it yourself, and you are not happy with the outcome, please have it reinstalled by a professional motorcycle mechanic. Typically, the complaint is that it leaks or there is no pressure. Please consider the technical difficulites in installing these products properly. And consider the condition of the motorbike. It is very rare that an Oberon clutch slave cylinder will fail (so far only one has been shown to fail since 2020). Apart from this one instance, it has always been a problem with the installation or the condition of the motorbike.

Requests for refunds with defective claims must also have an installation sales invoice or letter from the installer with proof of expertise, showing that the cluth slave cylinder was installed by a professional, certified motorcycle mechanic. If it does not have such a sales invoice then we will not immediately refund. We send the clutch slave cylinder for pressure testing to the manufacturer in the UK. This is a costly process. And if the pressure test shows no leaks, then the buyer will be responible for the costs of postage and the costs of the testing.

We will also not issue refunds under the general 20-day refund consumer right if it has already been installed. We can only accept returns with no questions asked if the product is in a condition fit for resale. Installed clutch slave cylinders are contminated with hydraulic fluid and they have installation scar marks on the anodising where the bolts have been tightened. They are not fit for resale as a new product.
